Email Auswind on here

Or go to sail repairers / WS shop for a secondhand one
Any similar batten will do - they're not that critical and can be cut to length

thanks, i had already emailed auswind, no reply. probably too petty a request. no problem at least i know now.
The local parochial repair shop is no go. not enough poleys around here to justify carrying parts.
Am trying to avoid stealing battens from other old sails[passing the buck] that have similar length, but not blue streak tubes. And the particular possible alternative batten[Maui] needs a little maybe 1 or 2 cm insert peice in the screw end cover to make it perfect length.
if you are the creator of the new oz wave king and his steed, then a big congrats to you and he too. for what wind/waves they got he excelled amongst all the other giants.

I have a stack of tube battens in the shed for my recycled landyacht sails. can you post some specs and a photo. IF the parts are less than 1m then it can be sent by australia post

Try michael@auswind.com.au

I broke a batten tensioner 2 weeks ago and emailed michael and he sorted me out straight away. Not sure when you emailed him but if it was yesterday, most of us like to take the weekends off

thanks Swoosh & Land yacht.
i did send that via the website to auswind originally and during the week but something went too far west in the email ether, and they never got the message originally.
Swoosh: thanks for the referral to Michael, he emailed back pronto and offered to send the parts asap. all good.
Land yacht: thanks for your offer, as you see above its not necessary to take advantage of your kindness. However if there hadnt been any response from the source, and no other easier remedy i would have certainly asked for one of your spares to be sent. i will file for further ref in future if need be.
heres the sail in action last year.
thanks to Mark as well.
