Pretty cool setup, but not new unfortunately... Did you really get a litre out this way?

Check my venturi idea in your earlier thread.
Haven't given a lot of thought how to make it, or what size it needs to be.
Air speed is probably fairly low, you may need a reasonable diameter, plastic waste water pipe for instance?? Not sure how you'd make the venturi, cut up some plastic funnels???
Depends how handy and imaginative you are.
Any way seems that what you are doing is working.

jord070, so whats you plans when you leave school? engineering maybe
Did you have to lube the scooter steering shaft swivel bearing while it was working?

Hows the drill fare? I reckon after a while of that the li'l motor would be in pain.

Not a new idea, John from Board Crazy in brisbane had a spinner years ago (12 years odd) he copied it from someone in hawaii or somewhere. The motor was quit a bit more hardcore, it spun a bit faster and needed minimum 2 days to get water out. For home use your setup would be perfectly good however. Drill hole in nose and tail and you'll know when it is dry by no salt residue around the holes.

mineral i dont know what i wanna do after school but i am defenatly going to go towards the design and engineering, and the yes i did need to lubricate the stearign shaft but i just modified the bearings inside so the have teflon around them and it seems to be working very well. and to answer cjw the drill is doing fine it is on its slowest speed setting and it doenst show any sign of over heating, i think this mainly is because i have used a gear ratio, and this is helping it with the speed. and the drill, but if it does blow up be sure i will post it and show images of the drill insides, i know it isnt a new idea mk seven its just it isnt a well known method and the way i have set it up is new, and for the holes in the nose and tail i have put some paper towl around it and put some cylicon packs inside like the ones in shoe boxes, and so far i have had to replacde the cylicon 3 times,.

Yep I read you're other two threads after I read this one. Personally I would have left the silica until last you are kind of wasting it when the spinning will remove alot of the water at the start, plus the silica might only remove the moisture and leave the saits behind.

mk seven, i know what you are saying but the silica is only in there to make sure that the water is shifting, and the salt is not staying in there because there is a whole lote of salt residue (if thats the word) surounding and coming out in a string horisontally from the board, and the cylica is in the soft spot of the board where all the water is so its mainly a guid to tell me if the moister is shifting throu the board,
