ok So since my last post some info - and thanks everyone who posted
This arvo, out on Ralphs Bay (also known as Dorans Road) - There's a fair old westerly, which ripps right through.
So when the others have packed up their 50L boards and 4m sails, it was my turn (the wind had dropped)
Got out, on the plan (WHAAHOONIIEEESSS) infact I think I called that out while ridding down the face of the 2ft swell.
Been having some bad luck lately, in the last 2 weeks I've managed to break my only mast, and then next time out drove my head through the sail.
One thought going through mny mind was - THIS iS WHATS IT'S ALL ABOUT.
Even got a jibe in.
Anyways thought I'd share - So long for now
Sound like your at the catapult stage. If this is the case, it is not a good time to be buying new gear as you will make it very secondhand in a short span of time. Maybe consider padding the nose of your board if not already done.
yep Nobody - got a diverter that I'm putting on the mast track to divert the mast away from the nose of the board.
It makes it really difficult to setup for a water start though, put cheaper.
Hey FoS, was that you arriving in a white landcruiser just as I was leaving. We said g'day, you only had a 6.2? Bit less windy today, hoping for a seabreeze this arvo, probably head to the lagoon.
