Stripped the thread on the bolt of my mastbase today, and it's been such a good thing that I'd like to get another of the same. This base has lasted 8 years of pretty constant use. It has "ART" on the safety webbing and also on the plastic base. Does anyone know who stocks these? Cheers

How about just replacing the bolt? If you can get it out, you may well find that it's a fairly standard part (or you might have to do a bit of grinding perhaps).

Just make sure you get the good stainless, not the lower grade stuff - tell the guy at the bolt place what it's for, and they'll be able to sort you out.

How'd you manage to strip it? Looks like it would have been impressive!

Dunno how or why it stripped - was just screwing it into the mast track and it kept turning and turning without tightening - there was no obvious pressure as if it was cross threaded.
And yes there is an allen key slot in the base of the bolt - I'll try and get it out at work tomorrow. Tried with a bike tool type key, but broke it. Maybe reverse thread?

Could have Locktite on it. Don't know what you can do about that. You obviously can't heat it.
