new neoprene?
the new sail smell (usually luff pocket fabric)?
a whiff of polyester resin?
rotten seaweed?
Nah .... warm day, then suddenly ocean smell at lunchtime so u know the seabreeze is coming 
EDIT unless stuck at work til 8pm and the smell is unwanted
