Hey all, I am a fairly competent wind surfer, but I have recently undergone a disorienting location change - I moved from Coffs Harbor, to Wollongong.
My first question is where are the best spots to sail around "the Gong"?
My second relates to a mate who is keen to take up the epic sport of windsurfing, where is a good place for learners, and does anyone have any free or cheap gear he would be able to buy/have? We have the disadvantage of limited funds due to our occupation - Uni Students.
Thanks in advance,
Jutty
Check out the nswwavesailing.org/
There is a spot guide with info for Wollongong.
Cheap gear, check out the buy and sell on here and get him to put up a wanted post. I'm sure he'll get some good stuff.

Check out the above posting in the NSW section on where to sail.
Head down to the Illawarra Yacht club and join up the Windsurfing club. They have a good collection of learner gear that can then be accessed (I believe).
Welcome, and please now revoke all previous GPS Teams and solemnly swear to join the Illawarra Speedsters if that's what 'floats your boat'!
Cheers...Eckas.
