Man your lucky, I work for the same org, I'd have to chuck a really good sicky but if had a little notice I could swing it. The sad thing is I can see the Train (Gold Coast) from my office balcony. Makes me throw up every windy dat.

How to sail whenever it's windy?

Quit...your...job...quit...your...job...quit...your...job...

Think outside the box...get a paper round or something...be a garbo...become a male prostitute (you could advertise in kiting mags) ... simplify your life, ie sell everything except windsurfing gear...and above all else, trust in windsurfing. Don't trust the WIND, though - it can be a fickle mistress...

Please don't come begging to me when the money runs out, though...mine will have run out long before!!

Thanks...I found out the hard way that golf buggies are meant for carting GOLF CLUBS on GRASS, not for carrying 20kg of windsurf gear on concrete and bitumen over long distances!!! The "tires" wore out real fast until one just fell apart on my way back from the Train, which would've left me stranded, if it weren't for a Good Samaritan (I'm not sure if he's really a Samaritan, or particularly Good, for that matter) named Nebbian, who happened to be driving down from Brizzy at that moment. Nice save!

Kids, if you want to emulate Uncle Wet Willy, get a push trolley from a hardware store, and make sure it has proper pump-up tires! And put plenty of padding under the board where it rests on the trolley!!

be your own boss or get a night shift job I guess

sometimes when I check the charts at work or when I step out of the office during lunch the wind would be blasting...and I'm like "Damn!" Still contemplating if I should rush to the club & rig up 1 of those lunch hours...some guys I know do that...but might just have too much fun & not wanna head back

No you won't, Fiona. The wind in Singapore never lasts long enough. Unless you're already rigged up when it starts blowing, you'll probably miss it!! Many's the time I've taken a desperate taxi ride, only to arrive in time to watch the guys derigging and packing up...

...so don't torture yourself!
