Does anyone have a used (or new) Windtronic 2 for sale? I have a few other anememeters, but I'd love to replace this one if available.

Thanx in Advanx

Hello, Cecil,

This meter is no longer being made and can't be obtained from O/S ( I tried some years ago when mine began giving trouble).

I changed to a Skywatch Meteos Anemo shown here: www.instrumentchoice.com.au/collections/handheld-anemometers. You will see that there are 3 models available in this configuration and they offer slightly different info and features. The setup for average windspeed is a bit slow. Output in knots is easy

The meter is bulkier than the Windtronic but essentially gives the same info, plus, it also shows the wind chill (which may not be required in WA, so perhaps the Eole model is better there).

Overall, I found it to be a good replacement for the Windtronic.

Hope this helps.

Many thanks WindmanV,

Your post substantiated why I couldn't find a replacement Windtronics 2 anywhere on the globe... and, even better, you've given me a great alternative with the Skywatch Meteos Anemo. It looks perfect; I'll be adding one to my quiver as a belated Christmas pressie. As you noted, I probably don't need the wind chill feature over here in WA but I know of what you speak as I sailed Port Philip Bay and surrounds for a couple of decades, before spending a lot of time in the waves on Maui and then found a more perfect spot: WA, where you can find me sailing at different breaks up and down the massive coastline on this side of the Nullarbor. The Skywatch will help me choose the right rig. Thanks heaps.

It's sold under different names, seems to be sharing the "Keindl electronic" logo though. Mine is called Windmaster 2 and is still being sold in Europe.

Thanks ptsf1111... however, I searched the web high and low, and still came up empty... so I've ordered another, slightly different anomometer.Once received (5 to 10 days), I'll post my critique here on this thread for anyone who might be interested.Cheers, Mark/Cecil
