Hi all,

I'm currently in Noumea until late october. My friend is coming in June and 3 more in August (maybe 2 in June/July). We are all beginner windsurfers and have not surfed before. Can we get some tips? Where is the cheapest and best place to hire in Noumea?

I'm quite small 147cm, female and small build. Will I have fun? My arms aren't that strong...

Thanks a lot!

A girl in Nouméa will always have fun !!!

Seriously, head to Aloha Windsurfing (orange trucks/trailer) at Anse Vata beach, tell the guys there I sent you. (just Sean)

they have plenty of small gear.

If you see a good looking guy with a black sail at the beach nearly everyday, that's not me, but I won't be far.... come and say hi !

Thanks for the speedy reply! I have passed the orange trucks (in the car) :)

The first of my friends wont come until June so I probably wont be there before then, but if I happen to pass by on foot or if someone invites me to windsurf I'll def go!

Would I need a wet suit? Or anything extra to the gear they will provide? Also... I can swim but not strong. Is that a problem?

You 'll be fine, actually wetsuits are forbidden for women in Nouméa. Bikini and waist harness only !!

Kidding, if you're from NZ a rashie will be plenty enough !
And very little current in the bay + the guys at aloha keep an eye on you and won't let you drift away
