With my 3 kids now a bit older (5, 8, 10) and having a bit more time I recently (December 2020) got back into windsurfing. I'd really like to get my kids into windsurfing as well so that we can share the sport together. I've bought a JP Funster 145L board and a Ezzy kids rig (2m, 2.5m + mast/boom/etc.) and have given my 10 year old son a couple of lessons. Though I can keep going this route I'm finding it harder than expected to teach him and am worried that he/we might lose interest if we don't keep making good progress.

My son has been sailing Optis with the Black Rock Yacht Club for about 3 years now but I'd be keen to find something equivalent (i.e. a structured weekly program) with a focus on windsurfing.

Does anyone know of any clubs in the Bay area that have a windsurfing junior program?

@Windsuferer - saw another thread where you mentioned something about LTs and a youth program. Keen to hear more and if this might apply to someone my son's age.

Parkdale yacht club is near completion !
Parkdale yacht club has the biggest windsurfer fleet in Australia !

when the club is finnished and we sort things out we are expecting average fleet size of 40 windsurfers

there are a couple of youth Windsurfers Lt made.
they are a smaller model than the Lt's . The reports we have had on them have been great for teaching !

when it's finnished come down have a look and a sniff around, it's fantastic
