Spent the last week in an RV at Lake Tahoe. The wind has not been what I hoped this week but found a place called Lake Washoe about 30 minutes away from where I'm staying at Zephyr Cove.
I googled it before I went and came across an article from the 90s calling it the "Brown Maui".not sure I'd include Maui in the title but at 3-4pm the wind switches on like clockwork every day. The last couple of days have been super gusty.like a kid is playing with a light switch that controls the wind.8 knots then 14 back to 8 and then 18 again but it has a shaded grassy rigging area and sandy bottom and as long as you are going you can coast through a lot of the lulls.
