I'm looking at buying/building one. There was an article here a few months back from somebody selling one, but I can't see it in the ads, so it must have sold.
So what's the best way to set one up? I think that the pictures from that item showed what looked like a box trailer that had removed the front part of the box and built a truncated triangle forward over the base frame of the trailer. Would that be a 7 X 4 trailer or 8 X 5?
Any ideas to help will be accepted

I have a fully enclosed trailer that had racks for kit but I've gone back to a 7x5 single axle with cage sides and rack inside so that I can also transport LT hull. Happy to share pix if you want.
Thx for all the tips. Dunno why my search for topics didn't bring up all the threads that FN has.
I'm looking for an enclosed trailer so the gear can live in it.
Asked at a couple of local businesses and got referred to somebody who makes horse floats and he said he can do the job.
that sounds great ,recon you'll get exactly what you want with a custom
my trailer gets hot and stuffy .I need more breathers .keep us in the loop ,![]()
mag wheels ...pleease .
never rust out .![]()
I put a cover on a 6 by 4 that exactly matched the cross section of the car. No edges sticking out into the slipstream. Didn't work. Still burnt way more fossil fuel. Especially heading into a sea breeze. The extra CO2 is still up there contributing to a warming planet. If you only have the driver on board pull out the front passenger seat. You'll fit enough gear into a small hatchback even.
That's what I already do. Berlingo 1.4 van has a front seat that folds forward to make a flat surface. With badly made racks in the back I carry 2 boards, 2 or 3 masts and up to 6 sails. If I use roof racks I can carry another board.
The idea of a trailer is so I can buy an EV. The MG4 can tow 500kg
Trailers are great ,I put up to 5 boards in mine .10 sails 2 booms ,bottom is steel frame
rest is thick ply glued and screwed everything stainless .
