Here's a quick video of our popular sailing spot at Kyeemagh in Botany Bay NSW. It's a unique spot next to the airport. On a good (windy) day, it's not uncommon to get 30+ sailors out at this spot. This particular day, there were only two of us as the wind was quite light. Felt nice to be out on the water rather than on the couch.
Big thanks to JustinL for the filming and editing.
Looks cool mate your nailing it now that's a lot of progression really fast you must be proud .
Cool video .
Wind looks N and NE and NW at times, changing because offshore, right?
When offshorish there, consider a bit further down - Sans Souci area has cleaner wind on those angles.
And Kurnell, of course, but that's further out.
Anyhow, nice clip - windsurfing is always fun.
Max, thanks!
Pierre, wind was not the best on the day, choice was going to be hard. I just seem to like that spot the best, great fun near the runway.
Was on the Manly ferry last Saturday and there were yachts everywhere in the harbour, race day obviously. There was a light gusty NW wind and low and behold there's 2 windsurfers in just out of Manly in the harbour. I don't know what they were planing in, must have had big sails. Sydney Harbour is the busiest Harbour I've ever seen and the ferries go straight through everything. Everyone must be extremely up to date with give way rules, I was very impressed by it all it was a sight to see.![]()

Even busier than in Tassie ? ![]()
I've sailed many harbours in the world - nothing compares to Port Jackson in terms of fun and sight and possibilities.
