Hey hey hey! Windskate again. I wanted to do that a long time ago. Finaly, I made it, last summer, but I had to get the footage from my friends! ;)
So, it gave me a good idea for next summer, with a better ramp and more wind! : ) Enjoy!
Reminds me of the days jumping the deadly of Como jetty.
More wind and a ramp with slight kicker in it will get you rotating no worries.http://www.rebelsport.com.au/Product/Raw-Single-Skate-Ramp/365489
Great stuff. I've been thinking about doing this for a while.
One problem is you build up so much apparent wind and forget there isn't actually any real wind when you change direction/sheeting angle.

Seems similar to tow-in in that respect. Should be good to work on backwinded moves like Funnels.
Landing in the water is like practicing motorcycle trick jumps into a foam pit.
Hard surface take-off to a hard surface landing will be ultimate impression.
Call me a cynic, but I'll wait for that.
After all it's windskating.
What a laugh! ![]()
Agreed a great way of learning a loop, it would get you used to the rotation I imagine? I'd give it a go...mind you can't think of many places you'd get away with it without getting ur balls bust
Hi! It was my first time, jumping with a windskate. Next year, I wana try with a proper ramp and more wind. That was really light condition of wind, 8-10 knots, perhaps some gust 11-12 knots. Enough to move but not so much to use the sail for a complete rotation like a loop. I can loop with a windsurf board but I did not made it with those conditions and my windskate. Perhaps with my back hand further back...
When you go fast with a windskate the ramp look smaller then it is! HAHA! Scary but you get use to it fast and could learn things helpfull for windsurf!
If not, then it could be funny! Always good to laugh : )
