I am getting back on water after shoulder surgery, its still very weak and prone to re-injury so i want to work it doing sup. Since i am moving to a new location i am thinking to leave my 95lt board behind, which is not getting any use as big board anyway, and get a windsup there.
Main purpose is to sup on daily basis, but i would like to sail around in light winds as well. Secondary are to practice some moves in light winds such as back wind riding and helitacks, and ride some waves in when i travel with it.

JP fusion looks like a do it all for me but almost 140lt for smallest sounds too big for me at 63kg, and mastfoot position looks like its too far forward. JP surf pro on the other hand has suitable volumes and a better mastfoot position but looks like it is difficult to use in general.

Any one used these boards or have other recommendations?

Which volume range is suitable for me (max 5.5 but mostly 4.7 and 4.2 sails, flat/choppy water), or does it change a lot from board to board?

All I can say is be careful with the JP mast base insert, its a nut into thermoplastic and rather weak. Its fine ... until the base is tight.... so wash it out with vinegar lots and make sure no sand is in it every time.

Otherwise that base is permanently attached as the insert spins around ad nauseum, and the surgery required is worse than your shoulder.

Sunova boards have a proper mast track , Jp have a screw in type mast holder which i had pop out once. It was a one inch cube resin fitted to the the board , works great in most conditions but i got dumped by a small wave and it pulled straight out.
Both boards are good as wind sups but maybe look at an Lt or old school board to do what you want , it may work better.
Any which way , your getting out there . ENJOY

Starboard blend works quite well, I also have a Kona Link. Have you looked at the Exocet wind sups? I would try to get something with a mast track if possible

Look at Exocet. They make the best crossover WindSUP.
Especially if you want to play in waves.

Sunova would be my 2nd pick.

Thanks for the suggestions and tips, checked all but at the end i got a very good price from local Duotone shop for 2024 Fanatic Allwave. Seems like they added small sizes last year, 7'9 is 105lts and 236cm can fit in my double bag hopefully.
