Hi guys newbie here and hoping for some help.
Bought all the boards from a guy who was getting out and gave us a pretty good price (it seemed). Should have asked this before I bought, but impulse buying is what it was no hiding it from you or the wife.
Are any of them any good? Which 2 would you keep? Lake waters (Lake Mead, NV), I'm beginner 50 good balance 6'4 220 and my better half is 48 5'10 135 with little balance
. Should I wait til March to sell the ones i don't keep or try to sell now?
Thanks a ton in advance![]()

Sorry buddy - none of them are suitable for learning on.
IF you have 25kn on 3x a week and an athletic teenager with very high motivation level (like, freaky olympian kinda level) wanted to learn - then maybe.
IF your wife is 135lb (?) she could maybe maybe learn on a 130L board if she is reallllly dedicated. Biggest there looks more like 100L max?
The seller needs his arse kicked.
Dang nab it
, i'll try to sell it all on craigslist or Facebook come spring i guess.
Thank you for the heads up. Are they just for kids and do you think it's even worth selling or should i just chalk it up to lesson learned and donate?
I think Mead really never blows, except for random storms.
Mohave, though, has a regular windsurf season around now thru mid Nov., and there are windsurfer's camped waiting for wind there. Maybe they would be interested.
All your boards are suitable for adult windsurfing in winds of 17-30 mph.
Place ads to sell now, since Lake Mohave season is now.
In spring, most locals camp at Lake Isabella around late April to June. That's just S of Yosemite.
Hard to tell which models exactly with volume but they seem to be some fine boards there, easy to sell and worth somewhat good money!
Wow, it looks like there are at least 5 nice boards there, thats a good deal, you can make profit, and maybe keep the biggest board for your wife.

I agree try to sell them now for the reason above, and many w'surfers, like me, shop during the off season for better deals, and a better selection. But sorry, I'm not in the market for any boards at this time...... But you've got some good boards there, consider keeping the biggest one for yourself and your better half, you never know.
Use both Craigslist and iwindsurf.com classifieds for starters.
^^^ edit
now I know what you paid, sell them one by one for about $1500 total and get a big fat beginner board and rig.
I hit Lake Mojave in January when the north wind is very reliable. Blows 15-25 mph every day. Air temps are 75-80, but water is 55-60 in January. The popular launch is at Cabinsite on the south end, east side.
Thanks for that, good to know.
That's our normal air and water temps in summer.
But we come from a month in Puerto Rico, so can't afford the time off.
That's very interesting Lee, when you're talking to Americans you sound very different to when you're speaking to Aussies.
Have you noticed that?

Sheesh let it go...
