I've found a board 125ltre Tabou Bullit. It has a stock 44cm Tabou fin but I need a weedy to sail Coal Point.
Powerbox. I think the board is 70cm wide.
What size 44cms or?

Tribal Weed Speed 33. The 33 is the depth of the fin in cm. It's length is about 40cm. This should work with sails up to 7.8.

Tribal site has a chart that I find good as a starting point. Weight of rider should also be considered too.

Considering the average age of this sport is pushing 50+ you'd think they would have made their chart in extra large font

Thanks. I'll keep an eye out. I was wondering why the quoted sizes were so short . It make sense if the length is longer .
That will get me upwind slogging?

I have the Bullit 125 (2017),and only used weed fins on it, due to local WA condtions.Last time out a great sesh with 7.3 and 40cm vector weed slalom, generally for blating around i don't use smaller than 6.6 or 7.0 on it with 36 JP weed.
Have used with 8.3 and 42 JP weed which works well.
I have lighter and racier boards which I have Tribal weedspeeds for but are all Tuttle box so unfortunately can't try, on
my bigger board 138l speedster 85 wide,I use 43 weedspeed with 7.8/ 8.3, for comparison.
I'm around 90kilo (after a big feed ),hope this helps

Sue, I run my Tribal weed speeds in full Moreton Bay Chop (up to 1m confused chop) which is similar to full Lake Macquarie chop

I've ordered a 38cm Tectonics weed demon. I use a 35 in my WT 64 ( 112ltres) and I'm very happy with it.
I took a punt and went the larger size with the Tabou as it will be a very light wind board- 5 -13kts..
