A little survey to see what you all are currently working on. As for me, working on port tack forward loops, shakas and bigger starboard forwards :) !
Here are some tips and tricks for everyone, I will expand and probably go into the secrets of the jibe, quick tack and a longer waterstart video.
In the meantime: windsurfing.lepicture.com/tips-and-tricks/
Currently working on doing quicker tacks. It's a move which i can do with ease on a big board. But when going down in board size gets a little more tricky. Have found fortune in grabbing the mast as I bear into the wind has been a big help.

Leaves much less room for error. Keep sail back before you and away from you after switch.
The planing exit jybe , I've only done a few and they feel great , they look so easy , but not for heavy me . I know speed , flat water and total commitment helps a lot .
Dave White is my hero .
For a big guy just watching him so light footed gives me hope . That move he does , going flat out jumping on the other side of the board backwinded , stepping around the front of the board while carving into a jybe then flipping and planing out astounds me . I've watched it a hundred times and I still don't understand what he is doing .
Same as imax I can come out of gybes still on the plane nearly every time now but lose speed before I can get going again
As I said on IW before it became a DLee dumpster fire:
Planing out of gybes on my waveboards. Better side-on windswell technique including when to kick out and getting more intentional with my sliding.
Making back loops intentional rather than incidental. Start pulling the trigger on forwards.

Nothing! I go out just to have fun and do what I know how to do! Love the liberating feeling of not having to achieve anything!!!!!!
The planing jibe! Boards make a bit difference. Some rails plane more than others but will also often times bounce more, trade offs! Do you all have access to nice and smooth jibing terrain?
To sail in a straight line,lm all over the place! No not really. To crack the magical 40 knots or better.![]()

Love all the old skool gybes. So much fun to do on flat water.
Trying to build the nerve to do a front loop.

Sometimes some swell can help, you can gybe on the face of it and then ride it to keep the board planning. Otherwise in choppy conditions I find flipping the rig and coming out on the new side switch really helps as you are doing one thing at a time.
On a normal gybe the 3 things that helped me were bend the knees more (get someone to video you and I guarantee you will be standing bolt upright), front hand next the the harness line and right flip as soon as your new front foot hits the deck. May not work for everyone and depends on where you are weak on your gybe, but those tips got me planning out of most of my gybes.
