So I got this board with the intention of sailing in my local sailing club boat races. I was after a long board to race on and found this but once home I realised that it was alot shorter then my brothers f2 lightning but it is about the same length as his short board 300cm. Is this board alright for what I plan to do?
ON the good side:
it has a centreboard
it has footstraps
it has a sliding mast track
it appears not to be polyethylene (could be wrong), meaning it has some degree of stiffness
ON the bad side:
it is less than 3.6m
the rails are probably not square and straight enough for going up wind well
it doesn't have a railing strap adjacent to the daggerboard.
It will work, but you will never win a race on it against a lightning or equipe.
F2 lightnings, mistral equipes etc do come up on seabreeze, ebay and gumtree periodically, and would be far better suited to club racing. This in not a brand or model I ever recall seeing in Australia.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll guess I'll just see how I go in the races and decided if it's enough for me. I paid $250 for board, Neil pride alpha sail, boom, old fiberglass mast and near new harness so I am not disappointed with my purchase just see how it goes. I may need to pick up a better sail for course racing over that wave sail but I'll make do for now.
Kind of on a side note- I've heard that there are Decathlon stores opening here in Australia some time in the near future. They are like Amart-all-sports but stock some windsurfing stuff. Interesting times to come
Great alround fun board. Not a race board. Any fun board will struggle on any real upwind work compared to even fairly average dinghies. Raceboard, even in light winds can have to work pretty hard in light winds. Once there is anything near a workable breeze a race board will smash most course racing dinghies. On any point of sailing a foiling moth can be quite a challenge. Once they are up on their foils they are so fast. Problem is they are also very very difficult to sail so around an entire course, even those can be rounded up by a well sailed race board.
now has it on the website. would this be the brand that sold the board above too? logo looks very similar
apparently it's big in euroland
