Last Tuesday. 32 guys out at Gnaraloo, 5 kiters, rest windsurfers, drones flying around and into one kiterslines. Only one happy is one overseas operator running wave clinic with 12 windsurfers. enjoy the money you are making dude.
Freakin' drones.
Finally a use for kites - taking out drones
Or vice versa???
If you hadn't have been there there would be on less in the line up![]()
Thanks Elmo, never would have come up with.that Mathematical conclusion. and 31 in the line up is obviously the cut off point to.making it an enjoyable experience. Flying drones over people is actually not allowed in any case, but it seems to be OK for a 2kg device to Fall on the head of a windsurfer- no dammage done
I pick my times now when going to Gnaraloo. Never during school holidays or over long weekends. Later in the season can produce quality with solo surfs in the morning and a handful of windsurfers in the arvo.
And that Guy Cribb shít is really just that... shít. He brings so many kooks to the place.
You guys certainly woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
Plenty of negative comments. Spare a thought for all those surfboard riders packed together at some local break, all competing for one perfect wave. We have it good, but not perfect. By law the drones should be 30 metres from people so give CASA a call if they get too close.

Exactly. There are plenty of surf spots where the take-off zone is similar in size to the floor area of a small elevator. There's 32 guys all vying for that tiny spot in order to get a wave. I don't think the crowd described by the OP sounds too bad at all.
By the sound of it someone needs to start putting out more shark alerts for Gnaraloo. Going to be interesting if it has worked for Mettams.
