Hi, I'm just after some recommendations on gear to take some footage while windsurfing. What works well? Head cams or go Pros with tube mount for the boom. Also what sort of camera do you use for the top of sail down angle. I guess I'd be looking for something that floats incase it falls off.
Thanks.
Found this older thread On the subject too.

I have been using the original GoPro for 5 years. It still works fine. I just got one of the cheap SJ4000 copies - $55 US for 1080p, WiFi, 2" LCD screen, and the necessary accessories. I paid almost the same just to replace the case for the GoPro! I plan to use it for teaching (and learning freestyle) when I want to review footage on shore. The WiFi transfer makes that easy. I can use the Android phone I bought for GPSLogIt to view the videos. Have not tested it on the water yet, but the dry tests look very good.
why go cheaper version - go to used and/or older models

I use a sony HDR-AS20, its great! I can get ~3 hours of recording when at 1080/60p. It doesn't do 4K, but I dont need that, I just want something light and with long battery. It can mount to any go pro mount too with supplied adapter.
