Just got a new watch and don't really want to leave it some where in the ocean. Any good ideas and how to secure it to your wrist in case the band or pin breaks?
I may be paranoid but after loosing numerous hats, glasses etc I won't to be sure
I always wear a long sleeve rashy or wetsuit top whenever I have my watch on and keep the sleeve pulled down over it that is the only sure way I could think of
Velcro watch strap. If you loose a pin you will still have your watch.
pity that wont work on the gw60![]()
I saw someone a while ago with the cuff cut off an old wetsuit sleeve, used as a strap around over the watch in case strap broke, cut a hole out for the watch face
Why not tying a thin rope to your watch? Make a loop around the wrist and secure it with that plastic thing that e.g. jackets have at the hood.

I just made something like that to try after my first post, seems like it might work as someone else had the same idea
Stubby Cooler with a hole cut in it? I use a small loop of string on my GW60, looped through one of the slots in the band.
