I guess if you were growing up in the 80s, it is. I love the 80s music and movies myself.

Surely Orange Whip is a reference from an iconic 80's movie?

I was just a little kid in the 80s, but from talking to many people that sailed in the 80s and the videos then, I think there were a lot more windsurfers on the water then. But the gear today is much better and advanced now. Love all the new sail shapes and board designs today. I'm glad I'm windsurfing now and not then.

Nice throwback . The 80s had a lot of music, U2 was just one.

Is that a young Nicole Kidman ??

If only the boards from that era attracted the price that the bikes do

80's music rocks, because back then you actually had to be able to play an instrument or sing properly to make it. You didn't have samples & autotune to make some artists sound like they could sing, and if you tried to get away with miming, you got caught. You also didn't get hacks with some made up sob story winning so called talent contests on tv and being pushed as the greatest thing since sliced bread.

As far as the windsurfing goes, today's gear is much better imo.

Milli Vanilli was from the 80s... There's great music today - just don't go looking for it on TV. There's always great music - and crap in any era. A lot of the best music from any era that holds up over time wasn't always the stuff at the top of the charts. Oh, and if you think the 80s was all that, ask someone who grew up on the Jeff Beck Group, Cream or Buffalo Springfield what they think of all the 80 hair bands.

I absolutely agree, though, about today's gear.

Rock, pop,R&B,soul etc from the 60s to the 90s was way way superior to whats produced these days. There are exceptions like War on Drugs,Tame Impala etc but they are rare.
Sure wish there was more great music around but Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift ,todays superstars ,dont cut it for me

The 2080's should be a lot of fun. With climate change, rising oceans, you will need to learn to windsurf to get to work.

Political correctness wasn't inven
