1. a legacy of AUS being minuscule in terms of windsurfing numbers
2. testimony to the enjoyment of the sail by those that own one.
Me, in terms of point 1., I've found that you need to save your pennies and buy new to get the specific gear you want, f### all available second hand here.
Good luck with your search ![]()
Have you any idea how much a new 10m Evo costs ? More than a small used car !!!
Second hand race sails are usually good value for money and usually looked after .
Ive managed to get a quiver of 5 Evo 6 all second hand at an average of $400 each all in perfect condition except for one which is in good condition . All for the price of one new .
It's this last big one that's rare .
On WSP website there is used EVO 7.8 and 8.6 around your price bracket, i have a 9.2 but you need to wait another few years to get mine for $400
, cheers Tony
I have an Evo 8.6 and it is good![]()
Kinda want the 10m
I also have a 9.4 V8 that I'm not overly impressed with . The 8.7 V8 and smaller V8 are great sails , go figure ? The 9.4 doesn't seem that strong or points upwind that well . The other sizes do. Yep , using the proper mast and boom.

Attach a large freeride foil to the FKD and 8.6 will be plenty big enough ![]()

I get what your saying and totally agree .
Problem is my playground is shallow and filled with wildlife.
I have a foil on a RB that I was just getting into before moving to shallow water.
I think I'll chop the mast to 55 cm and it would work on high to medium tide . I'll be the only shallow water foiler here .
hi imax i have 9.8 v8 with a 520 mast ,has taped up panels and a rss 9.8 with a 520 mast sail is missing a batton and has a crash streach
