Can anyone recommend videos suitable to help beginners learn technique? Is Jem Hall's Beginner to winner really right from the beginning?
My son is starting and I want to use videos to help him and remind me of the stuff I take for granted while teaching him.

I have Jem Halls and it seems pretty good.I prefer Guy Cribbs gybing tips though as they are more thorough & Jem Hall exits clew first and then flips which I think would be harder to do especially in strong winds and planing.
If Guy Cribb does a beginner one it would be good.Check out his website.

Sorry.. I had a look and it doesn't look like he does a beginners one..?

Beginner to Winner is a good allround beginner DVD, But more aimed at people who have allready started to put things together. The Guy Cribb DVD is aimed at people who have all the basics in place and want to nail the carve gybe. The best one I came across when starting out was the "Naish-Quick Guide to Windsurfing" It covers the real basics including the weather, safety, rigging as well as all the other beginners stuff. I think your kids will find it good as it features a young Kai and Ridge Lenny, They'll be able to relate a lot better to these 2 boys sailing and rigging then watching adults carry on about mast foot pressure and board trim, They can get into all that once they are hooked and have the basics sorted. If you can't get a hold of it just let me know and I'll lend you mine, I hope I won't need too use it again anytime soon

When i first started (not that long ago) i watched these vids heaps.
Once i got out on the water it all sunk in.
Also agree with Jason - Beginner to Winner is awesome to pick up beginner tips.
I've used that religiously for everything from water starts to harness lines and feet position. It has drills you can practice out on the water too.

Get "from beginner to winner". That's how I learned by myself windsurfing! It's a pretty good one

I'm wondering if the guy in the picture for the middle video turned around and thought "geez i don't remember eating that"
