Hi Guys,
Ever thought of having photographs taken while your doing some extreme sailing ?
How about a small highlight video recorded on a professional high definition camera or blu ray and edited to the music of your choice ?

I can cater for the individual or groups and friends.

Call Steve with your ideas.......Anything is possible.......

Steve, good timing.

I'm looking at going out at Jaws in the very near future. Looks like a big swell is likely next week. All the local videographers are booked solid in Maui.
I'm really looking for some water footage. Pay big $$$ if you can get a shot of me from inside the tube.

If I can't get flights, or it fizzles may resort to some night sailing on the Gold Coast. You could get some brilliant shots with the skyline as a backdrop. Again, I will be demanding water shots so I hope you've got some flippers.

It puts the flippers on and enters the water.

How about paying for advertising like others who want to advertise on this site instead of spamming the forum?

Sorry guys,
This message was directed at sailors that wanted a small project or demo for themselves within WA. I sail and I'm in the photography/video business. I sometimes take my camera's with me and guys ask for footage and images. I thought it would be a good idea to get some small projects going for the individual or to promote the windsurfing community.

I will try and have this subject put on the WA windsurfing forum.

there are quite a few folk who already do it for free do it out of simple pleasure and enjoyment, you might be hard pressed to find sailors prepared to pay for such services - but if you wanted to do it as a voluntary work experience type thing to get yer skills up you'd probably get plenty who'd appreciate that

Don't worry, was just being a smart-arse. Last 5 minutes at work for the week!

I appreciate the humor, got a giggle from the " Jaws " comment.

I'm interested in doing some voluntary work for the windsurfing community but its not for the experience or to get skills up.
Not many guys that do jobs for free have $50k worth of equipment and full editing suit.
There is a difference. Shooting then editing Bluray to DVD is hardly a hobby.
I guess it depends on the individual and what quality the want in the end result.

Cheers..

and people who 'do stuff for free for the experience' are basically just undercutting those wo are trying to make a living. imagine if someone walked into your work and told your boss they would do your job for free.

I'm a photgrapher and it really gets to me

Mr Sandman we have a "local" photographer, who shall remain anonymous, he is an awesome windsurfer who will sit on the beach between sessions and take pics of others having a good time, im sure he is not undercutting anyone, it is a bit hard to undercut something that does not exist, it is not really common to see a pro photograher hanging around our local spots offering his services.

Anyway, our local lad takes awesome pics, and I thank him.

At the same time, I have a buddy that is a pro photographer, he travels the motocross circuit offering his services for a fee, and does well. I dont think the he worries too much about the other few hundred people taking pics! If his product is good folk will buy.

If a pro turned up at a local windsurf spot and offered his services im sure he would get some sales, till that day occurs Im sure my windsurfing buddy will continue to snap away for the enjoyment and personal satisfaction.

I havent seen him for a long time. Last time was at Corros a couple of years ago. He told me he had moved to Gero.
