Hi: in the past, I've made a trolley with an old steel structure. 3 bike wheels and a "grid" over I laid up to 3 boards, masts sails and booms. Is good to take it the 1000m I'm far from the beach. The problem is returning uphill . I've used to go pulling with a bike, then return was hard (and we all know that windsurfing gear is way heavier after sessions :-)
So, I'm thinking about a minimalist approach: just a pair of wheels like this SUP trolley at Trigger's website and a little frame to fix it to the board. I will only take one board, and rig on top. Do you think it will be bad for the board if I use it as structure to attach it to the bike. pulling? The weight my steel carrier has is too much. Thanks!

IMO, your board gets stressed way more going over chop and jumping.
The board yes, but I'm thinking about how to connect it to the bike without stressing too much on the joint (a foot strap, a nose anchor). Maybe I can ad something soft but sturdy to pull it from.

Put the board in a padded bag that has a handle on the nose end (Dakine Day bag) and tie/attach something between the strap and bike.
Heres what i did as an '80s sailboardin kid. Had to ride about 2km towing my Raceboard n gear.
Strap mast to board n use as drawbar. Heat 50mm PVC pipe n bend around bike seat pole to make U shape. Heat the 2 ends n form around mast as 'clamps'. Using large wingnut n bolt, 'clamp' the PVC onto the mast end.
Done. Go sail.

I cart my board to the beach that way using a kayak cart strapped around the mid section of the board/bag using two 1" wide straps, and I pull it using the handle on the nose of the board bag.

Awesome, the mast is the link. Had not thought about it. I've done lots of experiments with PVC pipe, even a structure that holded 2 surfboards over myself but windsurfers are heavier and bigger. I like this idea and also the one about using a bag. If we agree that the structure is safe to use, I will go either of these ways. I will also make sure my kids take EACH of them (I have 3) their own boards. my biggest workout now is moving 3 complete boards to the van's roof, to the beach, back again. to the garage again. I will lose some strength but gain some time with "troll your own board" solutions. Thanks!

Thanks! I also like your way!
Boardbag idea fine for walking.
But towing behind a bike without ridgid attachment will cause dramas cornering n braking.![]()

Try towing a boat behind your car using only the safety chain. Same principle. ![]()

That's right! I will try to figure out how not to damage the mast by your explanation. By the way, flex is not my current solution problem :-)
I've also considered adding brakes to it as I have a huge scary downhill to the beach. The face of a neighbour watching me crashing it after changing the front wheel for a smaller one (hence, reducing inertia and stability) is hard to forget.

I think that instead of heating I can use T connectors to hold the seat tube and mast at the straight PVC ends.
