Best surfing footage I've ever seen. You can bust moves all day but...

Does anybody ever ditch the rig on windless days? Work OK?

ep, if you live on the goldy your nuts not to be surfing all winter long, pack the windsurfing kit to the side, stop waiting for the wind for a few months, and go surfing, its flat this week but we have had some awesome days so far. It also really makes the days the wind returns well worth the wait.

I feel sorry for the poor guy who had to swim behind him with the camera. He must've gotten really tired...

I saw Blair Simpson get his body into a barrel up north once - on an 8ft beauty.

he had the rig poking out the front of the barrell. He got smashed another 30m down the line as he was so deep he couldnt make the next section. He just ghostied his gear out the front of the wave , took the pounding and waterstrted out of there

The footage is on west oz power - but with the spray and back light its hard to really see it.

The guys a freak - and if he starts sailing again would blow minds all over the planet.

He used to get up side down underneath the lip and just get flicked out the front of the wave.

Could you link to it?

Was wondering if someone's done a full barrel roll. Have seen a few on film do little ones off the lip, but most flicky 360 type things with just a little bit of air, not full blown launches into the flat.
