Interesting idea I'd be interested to know how it sails.
I like his ideas always finding a new way to do stuff, but obviously an overthinker cos man he fusses over some stuff that doesn't matter lol.

I've actually come across some pretty neat music on his videos. Anything he does is okay in my book. It might not be what I ride but he has fun and shares his skills and enthusiasm.
I guess some boats have a planing plank and it's kind of like a water ski once it's up and going. It's not as wide as the jp experimental foil board so should go quicker on the fin. Would it be faster than a board of the same overall width?I wonder if a manufacturer would make one?
I think it was Tiga that did something similar 25years ago when they started their cutouts up by the mast track.
How about it in reverse , a tunnel down the middle like a hydroplane ?
Would have to be twin fin so as to not cavitate a middle fin.

All he says is super great super lightweight super super .... but no real critique.
When I saw the OP I did wonder about how that added centre strip would make it want to roll to the side - same as vee does.... but only initially as there would be an easy roll for say half, then the roll stops as rail touches. An interesting feel I bet.
So I was interested to see it applied to a SUP but again- its all just a stockist showing us his new stuff that's all super lightweight and super progressive bah blah. The one with massive rounded vee just looks like the belly bottoms used on longboards long ago.... so I'd be interested to hear from those who've actually used them?
I can see much reduced lift so very applicable to foil SUP's (easy touchdowns) but not really usable as a normal board?

Had an older AHD with a very similar bottom rail idea like this, less pronounced maybe 10mm step and not parallel maybe 20-30mm wider to the front than the back on each side. From memory it was a rocket but a bitch to gybe, not sure if it was me or it!
