I am not applying for Guinness book record but just finished uploading to YouTube recent documentary from Burrum Heads.
I guarantee that without 6 pack VB nobody is going to watch till the end
Thanks for posting Macro. Most of the footage is from 12/3 Saturday afternoon. Wind 18 to 22 kts from the SE. The camera is set up between the two washouts near the 5th channel marker on the main run at Burrum Heads. Sailors I recognise include Boombuster, Sailquik, Matthew, Rolz, Shannon, Phil, Da Vecta, Tony, Chriso, Dave, Mark, Maree, Kelly, Nico, Macro, Richiefish, Troy and myself. A great way to finish Windfest 2016.
Troy, your catapult at 52.12 is a beauty.
I just went straight to 52min - that was a vicious catapult Troy. Hope not too much damage done although it looked like it knocked the stuffing out of you. To your credit though you were back on the horse 5mins later.
Funny,
when I left camera rolling and went sailing ...
the first time passing , I saw my camera thrown head first by the wind, straight into the sand, tripod upside down ....luckily not into water near by
on a second occasion I saw guy stealing it ....so I stooped and try to save it again....
poor Troy ... I didn't know have a better reason to rest for w while ...
I saw Troy yesterday his nursing a sore shoulder but no damage he thinks and will be sailing by next week.
Looks like he came too shallow whoops.
I have the same style of video editing
Indeed I bought online the best 2016 software ( according to Google ) video editing suit by Cyber Link to shrink exactly this video.
But I gave up after few minutes.
Next time I may cover microphone with some soft clothe to limit the wind noise , I think.
And hang some weight on tripod to prevent flipping by wind again.
We have now perfect spot for recording on newly opened Train. So I welcome everybody, Brissy guys especially one day for a gybe intensive session .
Whole run is just 300- 400 meters long so you could be all time in the spot/focus.
To make event even more attractive we could fund something like 24 pack of the best beer to the best alpha 500 gyber for the day
For the obvious reason the event could be called Giant Slalom on Gold Coast.
You need to be quick to avoid jet skis, jet boats, all sorts of boats going off and out boat ramp, anglers fishing lines and obviously pesky kiters, sudden shallows and jumping dolphins.

Well I can't lie yes it was me I was happily sailing along thinking how flat is this water when I just dropped into someones wake and it just flipped me.
Vando I was not asleep fully it was just a micro poppy nap.
Damn Peter no one was suppose to see that at least it was graceful and controlled.
