So, what was the aftermath of all the gear that was scooped up in the fire sale/auction on the Gold Coast a few years ago?
Was the gear a bargain, or did the heat damage cause real problems?
Is the gear now floating around on the second hand market for people unaware of its origin?
Just curious.

I got a Severne 9.5 Raceboard sail super super cheap, no damage at all

I got 52.5 fanatic speed whch was passed to me from that sale, a few pbs left in that..like new still, but i think qld weather is on strike atm and has forgot how to blow after a rain dance.

I picked up a 2013 (but unused) Warp 8.6 - sail works a treat but the plastic cambers snapped - resorting to wrapping them in carbon, also had 2 of the battens break... although apparently that's what happens when you launch big slalom gear on main beach ...

i got 3 NP wave sails 2 combats and 1 atlas and a NP 370 rdm mast all perfect condition about the third of the new price !!!

I got two masts and some mast extensions for well under half the new price, most of the stuff there looked pretty good.
