Geez I was only a kid maybe 13 or 14 a young sailboarder ..iam now 45 and rye front beach from memory) did anyone attend ? Gets me thinking the gear we were using at the time which was a variety of trigger bros custom glass boards which were great and fast my dad had the cobra 290 gun which was a fine board in its day light in weight, the sparkly finish and that whistle it made once on the plane we also had the cobra tandem mothership which we had setup with a pair of old big blue sails 8 and 9m both matching with the Peter Jackson blue water classic logo on them

I did the Sydney heat and final. Broke a centreboard pivot when about 10th in the final but I hadn't been allowed to use my D2 and the Raceboards were all miles behind the Darts. Lachlan Gilbert won the 4wd using a DArt (extended D2) and a sail of about 9m I think.
