After a good evening at Board Crazy and seeing the extents Severne are pushing to reduce weight, improve performance, It appears that North are reacting to Ben's lead. Interesting that North are rolling out this old tech they have had in the back shed for sometime.
No old tech here... this is about as high tech as sail making goes. I think the biggest advantage of these sails will be less water take and less strech when loaded up.
In the end it will come down to cost.
