I've put this under humour, but...

...would there be any benefit to attaching tassles to the end of battens? Could they be used as trim guides, indicating turbulence or lack of? What colours would look the prettiest?

Hi,

The yachties are 'way ahead of you javascript:insertsmilie('').

Try this: http://www.wb-sails.fi/news/95_11_Tellingtales/Tellingtales.html

I like the cut of your jib. Now I know how to actually use those things.
That is a really interesting, beautifully illustrated site. I'd like to see same from windsurf sail manufacturers.

Let the comedic banter continue...

They would have to be made out of carbon nano tubes for windsurfing.
A. It's carbon, so it markets well
B. they won't stick to the sail when they get wet
C. You wont be able to see then since their "nano"

My 8 y/o daughter has just taken her pink and fluoro plastic tassles off her bike handle bars (peer group pressure) - I'm sure she wouldn't mind you using these :))
