hi Guys,
been working with Windtech on some new tweaks to smooth out your ride- here is the first one
I like
www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Windsurfing/General/North-Shock-Absorbing-Mast-Base?page=1
It solves the height problem, and has lockout, and can be adjusted ......... the North had none of those things....
I can't wait for you guys to put a bit of "suspension" under the footpads for us who have stuffed knees !
Keep pushing the envelope ![]()
Do your own- I discovered the Clark rubber self adhesive EVA in varying thicknesses for around $20
Put that under your normal pads and you're away.... my new board is plush ![]()
(Best ever was the recessed heels in the deck, filled with butyl rubber, about 2004-6 ish. They were also double sandwich then, I gather they went away from both as they boards were too durable ![]()
)
I think the Exocet boards still have the recessed footpad area with double density pads.
But shock at the base looks really promising. I notice the difference in ride quality when using A stiff race sail compared to a softer free ride rig. My knees would love some extra damping.

Yep. Got my eye on some for this summer - if I get around to it ![]()

What's the story with the fin in the background with the little winglets?
All will be revealed in a video inbound soon - even more stabilisation and some extra lift !
