Just to bump this for an update - has anyone had experience of micro-chisel or laser ear exostoses removal in Aus?
I've had both ear's drilled - with the left one about 25 years ago and the right one 15 years. I'm one of those bluetak surfers in winter to restrain the regrowth, however they now are probably just a couple of years from closure.
I got tinnitus in the right ear from the surgery - woke up from the anaesthetic to a chorus of cicadas that have never left me. So there's no way I'm risking another dental drilling millimetres from my eardrum. Only mention of micro-chisels procedures I've found is in California or Osaka. Would be great to know if we have an ENT specialist in Aus branching out for lower tinnitus risk options?
