Hi guys, I have bought a new JP Australia fun ride 8 months ago.
I use the board once a week, sometimes once a month and after that I leave the board outside under sun/rain and whatever. I spend some month leaving the board in its bag.
Last sunday I went out and when I came back I just spot this f....ing bubbles and ripples on my board.
Is it gone? What can I do to fix it or do not increase the damage?

If you keep your board in a board bag this has most Likely caused your problem, the water will get in through the paint over time and cause those sorts of bubbles.

What should I do right now? Leave it as is, keep it dry and use it or sand it and re-paint it by removing the bubbles?

I have 2010 JP's, but not familiar with this one.

The bottom of my boards (Single thruster) has one big sticker covering it.

Is this board the same ?

If so it may be an air bubble below the sticker.

To fix this just pierce the bubble with a pin to remove the air.

I hope it's that simple.

I agree, probably the case. I noticed when reading the manual that came with my 2011 JP that it says not to leave a wet board in a padded cover - it may mention about the osmosis effect of water getting under the paint - but I dont remember - but was told by a rep that it does happen under those circumstnces though.

What to do about it - dunno sorry

Is that purely a JP thing? I have put wet boards in board bags for for the last 19 years of windsurfing and have never had a problem... I better check if it's the same deal with my Tabou.

It's happened to my 85lt fanatic, won't leave another board in a board bag again.. What did I do about it.....nothing, just kept sailing it. I did have some problems with my JP superlight if I left it in the sun for a while, a big bubble would start to rise under the paint job(which is just a big sticker) I put a pin in it and pressed it back down then painted over the pin hole, it seems to have fixed it. The fanatic was a painted finish, over time the bubbles have gone hard and if you press them they break up. I did this for the worst of them and just painted over them to seal it again just in case, Mine was not as bad as the JP pictured though.

It could be a problem with the divini cell. I had a quatro that had a similar thing

Water ingress from elsewhere creeping around the eps can also be a cause.

My (2006 JP) board has quite a lot of it too but then it has had more water rammed into than an inmate at Guantanamo Bay.

It weighs more than a half a kg above the weight when I got it - the result of much 'bodywork' plus water ingress over the years. That said, its still lighter than a lot of quads.

Boards aren't water tight. Leave them in a wet location and they will absorb water. Those bubbles are caused by osmosis, they are full of water. It can happen to brand new boards left in the rain while still in their box. I'd ignore them.

Bubble boards. Could become the next new fashion !

Or it could go much faster, like the holes on a golf ball.

Thank you guys, for sure I learned the lesson and I won't leave it anymore under the rain/sun and whatever else.
Pretty sure it's my fault as I didn't really care about the board, I always care only about the sail.
Damn it, I need a f..ing garage!

Osmosis.
Dont keep ur board in a warm environment while wet with the bag zipped up.
Saw a 49er 2 days ago that was completely rooted coz of the same problem. Never pack ur stuff away fully wet and zip the bag up fully.
