Hopefully that website is right. Let me know.

ps. those would realy realy hurt. I can't wait to go that fast but i can deffently wait for those stacks.
Here's some inspiration if the wind comes up this weekend. it isn't looking that spectacular at the moment for the speed sailing but there is a bit about for a good weekend on the water.
I think some of us are bored ****less and will say anything to fill the time till the wind comes in. Just look at half of the crap posted in this forum.....I rest my case!
Really, some are so bored they even have their own websites all about them and their windsurfing. But rest assured, I'm not that bored yet , but I dont know how to anyway.
don't worry mikey,
only another 3 hours till the NE kicks in. then we get 2 hours of sailing till the sun goes down.
now to keep on track. speed crashes!
did a ripper myself up at golden beach along the bank.
a big gust came through, that lifted the entire board out of the water. as i was loading up the fin the board went sideways through the air.
then the leeward rail bit and the board rolled with me catapulting downwind at speed.
by the time i had recovered from intense whip lash i realised that the impact had ripped the track clean out of the board. ![]()
i gave the board back to my mate and said sorry.![]()
When was that? Saw a couple of classic faceplants just yesterday at Manly... not supersonic ones, but at about the mid 20s kts. Nothin like picking up a crabpot at 25-26 kts to make you feel you can fly...
I had a nice spinout crash yesterday. Classic slide for 30m trying to kick the nose downwind when the leeward rail dug in and the board just about stopped. I catapaulted straight onto the mast. now I have a 4 inch bruise on my left upper arm. It feels like I've just been innoculated for an African trip.
Great day though.![]()
P.S. I moved my harness lines back half an inch and didn't spinout again for the rest of the day. I share this boom with two sails and am continually shifting the lines. I marked the positions in one inch increments. Should've done half inch - makes all the difference.
Hey Sheartip,
When you come in after a session, grab a bit of tape and mark on your sail where your harness lines are. This eliminates all error, and since harness lines are sail dependant, you always get it right when changing sails (but not booms) ![]()
Hey Nebbian,
I have a little notepad in my gear bag with all my measurements, harness line position, mast base position etc. I just never remember to read my notes when I'm rigging up. I just get to the beach, throw my stuff together, charge out onto the water & fine tune on the first couple of runs.![]()

I'm lucky i've got a different boom and mast for each sail (4 of them). Even so i don't realy know if my harness lines are right. They seem comfortable but i have my boom very high with long lines.

Hey Sheartip,
Just try it! When you're waiting around for your sail to dry after a session, grab a small bit of tape, and put it on the sail, lined up with the middle of your harness lines. Takes five seconds to do, and will save 5 minutes of faffing around every time you get on the water (longer if you're in waves!)
North sails have a sticker that does the same thing, it's placed where they think you should put your harness lines (but this is dependant on personal preference, rigging etc).

Mark, I have NO Myspace actually. Wish I did!! And If you have a website with 4 pics of you sailing- good luck to you. You see, you have missed the point...I (by my obvious time wasting posts) ,was making a point, which was......I'M BORED WITH THE LACK OF WIND.
And your comment towards me Mark, regarding my so obviously flippent comment about 'The Fin' being really me with a wig, well, thought the reason for this was just to make an obviously silly comment, not needing or welcoming or deserving a reply. But you felt you needed to "put me in my place". Guess what....I know I'm not fast, my many sailboarding friends know that, but its still fun to have a laugh at myself (note the reference to BALD also!)
Keep your website, like Vando does, if its something to do to keep you interrested while there is no wind. Wish I had the skill or know-how to do one. But as I don't, i'll just hang out with my friends waiting for wind, being stupid, having a laugh, and happily being the bunt of a joke, or giving stick,
OR MAKING SILLY POSTS...just to have some fun.![]()
