Hi All , Currently using a 107 69w 2014 Isonic with a 7m cheetah as my light wind big kit (I'm 69kgs) after this I go down to 5.2 fsw wave and much smaller kit.

Im finding the Isonic can be a handful at times in the chop I sail in and at top speeds around 24-26knts I'm not really doing it justice.
Looking at Free ride boards in the hope of easier to use, gybe and less harsh to ride etc.
The Freerides and Freerace seem to carry more volume around the 69cm wide , should I be looking at volume or width to match my 7m or is there anything else to consider?
Couple of boards that have come up a few times as good recommendations on here are the Tabou rockets and Fanatic Blasts.
Thanks

Obelix

Rockets are definitely nicer in chop.
Having said that, at your weight, you could be on a smaller board.
Would be narrower and easier in chop.
A number of 90+ litre boards could handle a 7m sail.

Thanks for your reply.
I'm really chasing easy light winds and once it picks up enough I'm straight on my 95L kode and 5.2. So I'll stick to a bigger board for ease of use.
