Hi team,
Any ideas on where I can get a replacement tendon for my Severne UV joint? I tried a Chinook one today off a mate however the holes were too smaller a diameter. I guess I could enlarge them easy enough but am interested in knowing what other options are out there.
Interestingly enough, UV joint is not even 12 months old and the tendon is already badly cracked.
Are you sure they're too small? I just replaced my severne mast base tendon with a chinook tendon and the pins were as tight a fit as usual.
The holes are generally a very tight fit for the pins (on severne ones too), so they don't develop movement later on I'm guessing. I generally twist the pin back and forth with the Allen key, whilst pushing on the pin at the same time. It takes a little bit of effort to get them to start, but once they start going in there's no increase in effort.
Yeah there's a short supply of that stuff over here 101! Thanks for your concern though matey. Feel free to bring some over when you come to visit...
Dunno mate.
I've just had the pleasure of sailing 3 out of 3 days this weekend. It's been epic - even though my 33.85 knots wasn't recorded thanks to a dodgy GP-102!
Perhaps we should meet half way and sail the Todd River?
