I've got a 160-210 that I only use with RDM's. Has anybody swapped the supplied SDM clamp for the RDM version? I find using an adaptor to be a PITA. Also, what about the outhaul cleat coming loose? It appears to be held tight with some sort of epoxy which doesn't last too long.

Cheers

i have changed mine for the rdm clamp ,it was still to flexable and hard to clamp tight so i fitted a chinook head with the removable adaptor and it was a lot better.havent had trouble with the rear end yet

The new ones do either with the same clamp..

I think that's the intention but I don't think it works. Heaps of flexing and part of the clamp (the black bit) doesn't even contact the mast. Pretty disappointed with the quality overall.

I mostly use mine on rdm but discovered it works just as well, maybe a little tighter, on sdm.

Some of the newer SDM masts especially they almost feel like RDM anyway.

I just use this for RDM seems to work really well just clip it on the mast before clamping the boom on and the best part it only cost $4 from bunnings
