Too good! I hope you make a good living making such brilliant short films, as you capture and promote this wonderful sport perfectly. A true joy to watch.
Cheers for sharing![]()
Bloody beautiful!!!!
That opening part following Matt down the run just shows how awesome the Pit really is. Nice commentary too Daffy!!
Great work Col,
what a great and rare perspective you've managed to capture of one of our favorite spots to sail. Long awaited shoot with trying to get tides, wind strength and angle to line up, and that all important bit of sunlight at least thrown in here and there to set the canvas off.
Its certainly more than enough to make a speed sailor drool, and definately an insight into what the place can offer, one need only imagine what it can look like in full light.
Theres also the other perspective of speed sailing the other bank and wavesailing to be had when the wind blows from the opposite direction cleaning up all those waves into long green glassy wave rides.....
For those who got involved what at great memory to have captured to look back on, certainly worth it!!!..... if you ever get the chance do it!
Awesome job! well done!
Na, sorry Col, didn't like at all, friggen loved it! Those above and behind helli shots are awesome.
Hadn't seen any great Sandy Point vids or photos before but now feels like I've been there

great work. really sums up Sandy Point- glad you didnt get the rigth wind direction to show off our secret little wavesailing spot across the dunes otherwise we'd have tourists and developers in thr droves :)
The great thing is that Sandy Point/Prom is the most consistently windy place in Victoria and if you wave sail as well as enjoy the inlet for speed/slalom/freestyle it works in most wind directions.
Geez, I was nearly choked up with tears watching that. It really demonstrated how special a place it is, and that's just the inlet, let alone the wavesailing, Prom backdrop, etc. When Huey and Ma Nature get together they can create some amazing stuff.
Absolutely magic.
This is the kind of thing really missing from dvds like The Windsurfing Movie. Awesome stuff, almost makes me half kind of wish I didn't leave Victoria ![]()
