Hi everyone just thought I'd post a few shots of the holiday at north west .western Australia .
first day after a long drive ,we arrived at Denham.
we hit the water at 3 pm after a 4 hour drive from Geraldton.
we rigged 6.2 & 6.0 ,(3 or us) we last 45 minutes before switching to 5.0 .and fully down hauled plus 5.8 's
we sailed till almost sundown ...then beer time ,a great first day .sure is windy up here ..![]()

Yo Tardy, have a great windblown adventure! Keep posting those pics man.
Sure could use some howling inspiration. Been grovelling on 9.5m lately. Red arrows for at least the next week here. ![]()

Sure will ...we had a 6.am sail this morning ..on a 6.0 lion. Flying ...it got shallow ...I hit the sand bank at 53 Km per hour and done the bigger catapult I have done in a long time ,board stopped I kept going ..
all good just a few bruises ..just had a big brekky and heading to little lagoon for some speed runs later ..I will grab some photos then ...
This will make you cry oldskool ...plenty wind here ,with Sunday a fishing day ...but up here till Tuesday .
not much water now ,but 2 o'clock it will be on again ..but might take some sausages and beer to little lagoon for the day ..26 knots yesterday ,23 this morning ..yeow
then the extra extra sea breeze this avo ..arms are sore from using the 5.0 yesterday .
It's just lack of practise .east coast lulls ..

If you've got a spare day Shell Beach is a magnificent sail. You need a shorter fin (I ended up using my Delta) but cruising in the flat water in the offshore breeze is sure to please.

Looks awesome probably with dolphins and mermaids!
Will make WA a windsurfing bucket list place
Cheers ![]()

Couldn't tell you what year any of it is
Wonder why they call the place Shark Bay? ...saw a documentary once that claimed that around 3000 tiger sharks migrated there every year! Fortunately, the sharks prefer the baby dugongs or dolphins that bring up their young there rather than windsurfers. It is also stated that at least 28 species of shark inhabit the place, not including real estate agents.
Mark this is our 8 th trip up here and have only seen one shark out need the weed .in that time
mostly dolphins and rays and dugongs .it does get shallow here so the bigger fish don't come in .
we had 3 sails today ..so feeling stiff ..the last sail was off the front here at Denham with 5.0 and 5.2's
it's been real strong wind this year ...we all beat our best speeds at little lagoon today ,was a bit bumpy
but I was proud to get 61.9 Kms / per hour .hope to better with flatter days ahead .
had a good day yesterday ,today was awesome too, gave my new 6,0 cheetah a work out ,as well as steve on a 5,8 and reg on the paddle board taking the kids for a run ,

plenty weed up here ,seen dugongs today and a few rays ,105 rocket ,and weed fins .

115 rocket on this shot .before the seabreeze came in .still was 18-20 knots .then 23-24 .solid .
