Maybe I should clarify that the sails I got are brand new but 06 models. I hear that the 07 models are not changing so thats why I got the 06 sails at a cheap run out price

I do have speed gear Mins. My 86L Starboard Fish and 5.7m Tushie Rock.
It goes fast in 15 knots, imagine what it could do in 20 to 30 knots

Greenie, Just got a couple of run outs myself, 6.6 and 7.4
From that "up high" sail maker.
First new sails I have purchased. Not here yet.
Wife looked at my current lot and said get yourself proper gear ya tight wad, those things got more patches than a patchwork quilt.
so I did just that. Couldn't go against her now could I.

Is anyone else lucky enough to have a wife who actually encourages them to buy new gear?
you must be one smooth talker mineral, or have a really big um, er... mast?

Actually my wife does encourage me to go sailing, to keep in shape. She just prefers me to do it with patchwork quilts and water-logged boards. I guess she knows the extra effort will burn more calories.

Knot Board, you need to teach your wife to sail. It means you can extend your quiver down to the very small end of the sail sizes so you always have a 4m for crazy winter weather. New gear is welcomed with open arms and sailing holidays are now demanded each year. All I have to do is find a nice warm tropical location. Bring on Cocos next week.

Only problem is that you get yelled when she witnesses how high you can jump her brand new board. I'll be killed if I ever snap it.

Yeah Tim,
Nice in theory, but my wife already loves to come fishing with me. She insists we take the boat out every opportunity. I'd be sure to have better luck asking for a second mortgage on the house to buy a new Haines Hunter than I would asking for a new mast extension!

My point is that windsurfing is my 'knotboard' time, just for me alone.....

Very NICE.!!!
I hope you are happy together.

I have this weird ritual of NOT putting my new stuff in the garage when i've bought it.
I very often put it near the telly so I can look at it out the corner of my eye when watching Top Gear or Southpark, or pat it when I go to make a cup of tea.

As soon as I put a hole in it or a scratch it I immedietly lose interest and it gets demoted to the garage.

I agree, my new board is currently standing at the foot of my bed so I can get a good look in the morning when I wake and at night when I go to bed!

how well do those twin fin arrangements work. do they make a big difference juice. or are the not noticeable and not worth spending twice as much on fins.

knot board, the bit I didn’t add was...........

About two days later a rather large box showed up in the "sewing room"
I didn’t say zilch, well not for a while anyway In the end I could'nt handle it any longer. "What’s in the box Darl...."
$4k sewing machine
Promptly justified with "but watch what it can do,,,,,,, this thing is fantastic,,,,,,,, look I just stitched a pretty butterfly, isn’t it pretty. Honey she asked, "are you still breathing, your face is gone all funny" Oh, and the best bit "Have YOU ordered your sails, those ones really are crappy, when do they get here, Huh when?????
So there you go, a quick lesson in how to manipulate ones partner to get a flash new toy

Ahhhhh when that point was raised, it was met with a and words to the affect, don’t be smart, now your being narky.
Followed by quickly by my exit stage left and a final throw away comment from me "you sure I can only get two sails" Consequently met with the standard minimal conversation for a while until I meekly asked, "what else can it do.
Welllllll I tell you, I was given a royal showing on "all" its features, I did hear at the start "It can do...blay blah blah blah (think I hit the mute button about 30 seconds later)
Alls good, reckon I can stretch it just a tad more, maybe later on for some extra toys to compensate

For me and my 87kgs yes it was worth it and they work for me. They have given the board a looser feel, given the board better upwind ability, the board is less bouncy in higher wind, planes earlier and I can go over shallower water. What I have found is. If I use a single fin 23cm deep on a similar size board with identicle vee, rocker and rails it feels like the fin holds the front of the board down on the water and I get a slappier stiffer ride, if I change the fin on the board to a smaller 20cm fin it loosens the board up and it feels more controlable in the higher winds but I loose my upwind ability and early planing. So with the twin fin I get to use a smaller fin and get the feel of a smaller fin but with the upwind ability of a larger stiffer fin. I've only had it out in half mast high waves and it was awesome. Not sure how the small fins will go in mast high or bigger. Ive also noticed similar(but milder) effects as above when tring it with larger and smaller twins fins. I think it gives the board the same feel as if I was a 70kg person using a smaller board and fin.
Single, thrusters, twins, give the board different handling and a different feel, I'm liking the feel of the twin fins, I could try them somewhere else and feel their not suitable and not like them.
If you see me down the beach ask me for a go on the board. The extra box, supporting divinycell, glass and fin do add extra weight to the board.

really nice board juice ; that's a good idea to make a twin fin,

and if you wonder how are twin fins going in big waves, check out those pics of kauli seadi at Jaws and in cabo verde on a twin fin quatro board :

Not sure what you mean there Bazz...

You can go here www.seabreeze.com.au/Members/Gallery/upload.aspx?categoryid=1 , to add pictures to the seabreeze galleries.

It's not possible at this time to include pictures in your forum posts, just links to the gallery, like the other guys have done here in this thread.

To add your pictures, you first need to have your pictures saved on your computer. Go to the upload page (see link above), click the SELECT button, and choose your pictures for uploading. Write a short story or if you wish just a short description, then click UPLOAD and Bob's your uncle.

Just sent you reply to your PM, hang in there, once you get the first one, its all down hill from there.
You beat me too it, that's it, now highlight that photo in seabreeze photo section so your looking at it on your screen.
Copy the web address link at the top of your screen with photo displayed, and paste that into your forum reply and "presto" its in the forum with a link.
