My last van having succumbed to the brown scourge, I have invested in a new one straight from the green fields of Japan. Like most of us I live in a marine environment and spend many days parked at the beach getting a salt bath. What strategies and products are good for keeping my new war pony looking good and rust free?

Definitely that electrical thing that protects it. good pressure wash underneath then fish oil the crap out of it

Electrical thing?
The green fields of Japan... does that include salt covered roads?
JDM salt
Many cars over here which need to survive salted winter roads and drives at beaches or through salt water pits are protected with Mike Sanders Grease or Rope Grease. The standard body parts are covered with a classic car wax, nothing special.
What do people think of lanolin for rust protection?
Yes it works, but don't drive through salt water. For the inside, try a 2 pack epoxy paint or a tub liner 4x4 paint product

surprised more ppl don't use them with our hobby choice
I don't as I am protecting a $1000 van.
