nice cinematography, great heli work beautiful colors and some nice speed runs

its a magical spot in that the sun stays in a perfect angle for shooting from land/reef nearly all day long - just a bugger getting a stable platform out on to the reef.

action wise

not a single section hit - so in effect it looked like a speed sailing movie.
Style over substance ? certainly lots of style...

3 lifters or some vert reos would have made the movie complete.

it can be done there too (- but not on a west swell and not on low tide)

Such a nice relaxing video this one, already watched it 5 times when it first came out. Here's some great photos from that photographer www.facebook.com/alex.zlb/photos_stream
You have to scroll down a bit for the Mauritius ones.

Yeap it's filmed in Mauritius. Pretty amazing island :-)

Some sick formula sailing in the north also in Grand Baie.

Is that the one eye break? Looked amazing from the beach, looks more amazing from the air. Fantastic place for a windsurf holiday

No I literally mean it's really sick to sail formula there! Here's some shots from Grand Baie last time I was there. Just wanted to say there is more to the island than the epic wavesailing it's famous for ;-)

Oh it's literally sick. Pardon me, I assumed you were describing it metaphorically.

Sounds nasty. What were the symptoms?

You should always take imodium to these tropical places eh.

Grand Bay is a beautiful spot - and there is some great wave sailing in the north part of the island - that can be hit on the high half of the tide.

Its is a magical spot no doubt about that.

we were staying an Le Morne - and there were some seriously sweet looking waves south of there.

Funnily enough one of the resorts ( a big fancy looking one- it was right on the point and looked like a deserted ghost town ) had been shut down
due to public health concerns - it seems that the hotel was sitting on top of and sinking into its own sewage- and lots of guests there got really sick.

One eye is a confronting spot for many to sail - depending on swell direction it is either super fast and heavy (at size- i'd say heavier than NW desert / Eneabba due to the fact that the reef gets relentlesslly shallower) or playful and hittable
but there is a more friendly cross one ish option 300 meters away that most sailors can hit in relative safety.
