I guess this video was taken before Robby had enough money to buy a shirt.

The last shot of the beach start is pretty cool. Those Mistral sails had a great style.

Oh man, the Naish shop in Kailua hasn't changed much at all. Almost the same setup. One of my favorite things is walking up those now rickety ass stairs to see what kind of second hand goodies are for sale. Love it!

Typical Kailua too, everybody slogging around wishing it was windy.

I think the white board with blue flames in the last few seconds may have been the one with the "opihi" dent between the concaves...apparently Rick Naish just slipped with the power plane and decided to give the resultant shape a try. He used it out here in the '85 or '86 Sony, which he said had the best surf slalom he'd ever done. He may also have used the red board in the last shot in the waves.....I'll check up in the old mags.
