I love his nose dive landings - why doesn't anyone do them these days, they're so much more fun to do than a tail first and look way better.
His waveriding at Pipe still looks good. See how sharp some of his bottom turns are - most of us wouldn't be game to even bear away with that much speed and a wave that size behind us. All on a single fin. Or did he have small thrusters - 22 years before multifins were reinvented.
And give me one of his duck gybes over any Vulcan ...
^^i Agee about the nose first landings. They not only look good, they were also practical. They are less stressful on your leg joints and you didn't spin out on landing, which used to happen when you landed tail first with the small single fins.
