Robby Naish's movie "The Longest Wave" is finally here!
A quest to master the world's longest waves unexpectedly reveals his vulnerabilities as a competitor, mentor and father.
In cinemas from Nov 26!
Did they film it for Instagram or did someone forget to set the right aspect ratio on export?
On a different note, great to see this movie getting a proper cinematic release.
Lol, probably me stuffing up the media pack.
No it is a Joe Berlinger film and will be 100% professional to a whole other level.
Super exciting.
JB
Gee he's only 57. Unresolved mid life crisis? Divorced?
He's looking a bit used. He probably should moisturise, hook up with a younger woman and learn to samba. Or go and catch the longest wave. Would that be Pacasmayo?
Surf Legend Gerry Lopez talks about how Robby Naish was the first surfer ever to ride the tube at Peahi - JAWS.

It's on at Sydney Hoyts next Thursday Nov 26th..
I was wondering how they were going to appeal to a larger market than sailboarders..They also cover standup paddle , kiting etc..
Saw The Longest Wave at the Cinema here in Melbourne over the weekend and enjoyed it - a must see for the Naish fans. It was good having Gerry Lopez feature in there, he is a very Zen dude.
Does anyone know where you can watch this? Missed the cinema screenings...
you can see it on amazon prime but you have to subscribe and then pay a fee for the movie.

Ah cheers, I'm currently in the UK and it doesn't show up even via NZ VPN :(
once the cinema release is over can you rent / stream these type of vids or are they gone forever , anyone
cheers
These exclusive screenings, especially in times of Covid make no sense. There was an epic kitesurfing movie made in association with RedBull called Chapter One that was available for purchase from day 1 on iTunes, Vimeo and bunch of others. Annoying as I'd love to see that :)
It's a great film I saw it at Luna Cinemas in December. It really makes you realise how talented, dedicated and focussed Robby is, a legendary waterman. It is a must see. I think the screening for the LT Nationals speaks volumes for the top relationship between that class, Windgenuity and Naish.
