Does replacing a sail panel on a cammed race sail have any detrimental effect on the sails original shape?
I have a Np RX1 7.1 with a few tears in 1 panel that have been taped up for a while and am thinking of replacing the panel
Maybe the newer sails have more seam shaping than year 2000 sails so are more sensitive to it?
I would like to replace with a new sail but matrimonial happiness is a higher priority.
cheers

Give it to Jesper & it will come back better than new

I've had a lot of experience with that

All the sails feel I got fixed feel and look the same as before.
I used 3 different repairers in Perth, and they all did a great job.

Keep taping it if you can.. Unless its a rip along a batton then a neat tape job is as good as any.

When its completely had it, you can take it to myself, Jesper or John to get it fixed at the end of the season.

Cheers.
